An MPAN is your Meter Point Administration Number, a 13 digit reference number to identify your home within industry.

Your MPRN is your Meter Point Reference Number – the same as an MPAN except for gas.

Your actual meters are unique, and all meters will have a Meter Serial Number (MSN). This number will be printed on your meter, usually near the display. Your MSN will also be printed on your energy bill above your meter reading breakdown along with your MPAN/MPRN.

If your meter on the wall is changed, your MSN will change but your MPAN/MPRN will remain the same.

These numbers are important for us to ensure the correct meters are switched, and once we have them all we can continue your switch to us.
